Occupational Therapy jobs are in our New Mexico schools! Located in the "Four Corners" this beautiful district is an hour and a half from Colorado an hour and a half from Arizona and two hours from Utah! You can expreince all four seasons in one month!
As an OT in this district you will use purposeful, goal directed activities and task analysis to enable children with a disability to benefit from their individualized education programs (IEP’s). Qualified candidates in this school setting will look at certain skills issues which may interfere with a child’s educational performance such as hand function, oral motor function, visual motor and perceptual skills, sensory awareness/processing, self-care and pre-vocational tasks. You will work with a variety of intervention strategies, which may include direct therapy with the child, consultation with the teacher, modification of the environment, provision of adaptive equipment, and staff training.
