Therapist of the Quarter – Sarah St. Laurent
Sarah St. Laurent has worked with ProCare for over two years. She received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and her Masters in Public Health and Health Administration from University of New Hampshire.
Since becoming an OT, she has worked in a variety of settings including hospital inpatient acute care, sensory integration clinics, and school-based therapy. She enjoys working in school settings because she is able to collaborate with the educational team to meet the needs of children. In her current assignment, she provides services to developmentally delayed inner-city preschool children ranging in age from three to five.
Sarah is also a member of the Child Find Team, a group in which the OT, special education teacher, speech therapist, and psychologist perform a comprehensive assessment to determine if a child is eligible to qualify for an educational disability. The team works closely with early intervention specialists, outside agencies, such as mental health clinics, and parents.
"Sarah is an energetic and a dependable member of the Child Find Team. She interacts wonderfully with staff, parents, and children in a professional and compassionate manner." Kimberly Plourde, MS, ED Special Education Teacher
"Sarah and I worked in preschool together and would often co-treat children together. She is an enthusiastic therapist who creates a fun and positive working environment. Sarah is always eager to help others when needed. Her flexibility, upbeat attitude and creativity make her an asset to any educational team. We are fortunate to have her in Manchester!" Emily Connors, MS, CCC-SLP Speech Therapist
