A school in the Ellicott Maryland area is hiring a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) teacher for the upcoming school year. This is an excellent school district, with lots of support, and a wonderful and welcoming team environment. They are ideally seeking a candidate that is already licensed in the state of Maryland that could start quickly and adjust seamlessly into this role.


  • Diagnose the student’s condition and use of appropriate amplification tools for each student
  • Develop individualized learning plans that are student-specific
  • Hold meetings with parents and document record of communication
  • Provide emotional support for students and their families
  • Show knowledge and skills in the areas of language improvement
  • Demonstrate abilities needed to converse efficiently and to provide a comprehensive English model for hearing impaired students
  • Exhibit understanding and skill to implement auditory training
  • Form open and regular communication with parents and staff to go over student’s progress
  • Professionally maintaining caseload


  • Deaf and Hard of Hearing Endorsement Required
  • 5 days a week
  • K-8th
