RN School Nurse - RN
We are currently interviewing for a school nurse (RN.) This is a full time position beginning in January and contracted through the end of the school year. This position is perfect for a nurse interested in the school setting and the great school hours/ holidays off.
Job Details: special needs children and knowledge of trach care, tube feedings, seizure management and other typical school nurse functions is essential.
Responsible for developing care plans, attending IEP meetings, writing emergency action plans and gathering medical information that is important to know in the care of the children in that school.
Job Requirements: BSN prepared RN and experience working in a school health-room is preferred.
The RN is very independent and has a full time LPN working in the health room also. There will be support in the early transition time for orientation.
The candidate must be CPR/AED certified and have experience with triaging childhood injuries and illnesses.
