School Social Worker Job – East Lyme, CT
ProCare Therapy has partnered with a district in East Lyme in order to hire a school social worker for a full time position. This social worker will provide intervention and advocacy services to special education students and their families. Additionally, this social worker will provide behavioral, educational, and vocational counseling to students while writing IEP’s, managing IEP minutes as well as other general responsibilities. This will be a contract position through ProCare Therapy that will last for the remainder of the current school year. However, this candidate may have the opportunity to extend the contract beyond that if he or she is a good fit for the district. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working in a school based setting but new grads will be considered as well.
School Counselor/Social Worker Job Details:
- Full Time 35+ Hours
- ASAP-Remainder of the School Year
- Elementary School Caseload (1 location)
- Manage IEP minutes and other general responsibilities
- Connecticut Standard Certificate 071
- Master's degree in Social Work
- IEP Experience
