A South Carolina school district in the Kingstree area is currently interviewing for Special Education Instructors to fill an opening. This will be a full time position with a very supportive district. The caseload size is medium and will be varying from mild to moderate.
 
Some of the job duties for the position will include the following:
• Conduct assessments of the students’ skills to develop IEPs
• Create lesson plans specifically tailored for the students
• Assign activities for each student’s needs
• Implementation of IEPs
• Keep family, teachers, and counselors well informed of progress
 
The Special Education Instructor will be working heavily with general education teachers, counselors, and parents. The SpEd should take a very collaborative approach to working with the children and their disabilities. The school district is interested in experienced and new graduates alike.
