We have a full time opening near Paradise, NV for a full school year contract for a Teacher for the Visually Impaired. This position works exclusively in the school setting with all ages providing services across several school sites. See details below:

  • Employee type: Contract, full time
  • This is a full school year assignment 
  • Services are provided to grades K-12
  • Travel is required between several school locations


  • Assess students with disabilities and determine eligibility for services
  • Plan and provide direct and consultative services consistent with visual goals contained in students’ Individual Education Plans (IEP)
  • Develop and coordinate a continuing evaluation of the visual impairment program and implement changes based on the findings including selection of adaptive materials and equipment.
  • Consult parents, teachers, and administrators concerning the educational needs and progress of students
  • Participate in special education meetings, campus committees, etc. as requested by supervisor
  • Prepare reports and maintain appropriate documentation including goals, objectives and schedules in accordance with local, state and federal guidelines
  • Comply with the Employee Standards of Conduct
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
