ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated Adapted Physical Education (APE) Teacher for an exciting job opportunity in Atlanta, GA. If you have a passion for promoting physical activity and inclusivity for students with special needs, we want to hear from you!

Job Title: Adapted Physical Education (APE) Teacher
Location: Atlanta, GA

Employment type: Fulltime/ 23-24 SY
Caseload:  K-12


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized physical education programs for students with disabilities
  • Adapt activities and equipment to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Provide instruction on motor skills, fitness, and overall physical development
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to support student progress and inclusion
  • Assess student abilities and adjust instruction accordingly

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Adapted Physical Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Valid state teaching certification in Physical Education or Adapted Physical Education
