ASLI: AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETER

We are searching for a Full/Part Time Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing/Speaking for a school district near:

Yelm, WA

  • What you should know:

    • Average Full-Time week | up to 37.5 hours

    • Fast interview and start

  • Requirements:

    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s  Degree in English, Communication or other related fields

    • EIPA of 3.5 or higher or VQAS (video and written assessment)

  • Skills:

    • Responsible for helping deaf or hearing-impaired students understand subject material

    • Strong skills in listening, sign language and communication

    • Capable of researching the subject material beforehand to better interpret for the student

    • Full comprehension of American Sign Language 

    • Participates as a member of the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) team at meetings and conferences
