Job Overview & Responsibilities
Are you fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and ready to make a real difference? We’re on the lookout for an energetic and compassionate ASL Paraprofessional to join our awesome team in Baltimore! In this full-time role, you’ll work closely with deaf or hard of hearing students, helping them thrive in the classroom. Here’s how you’ll make an impact:
- ASL Superstar: Use your ASL skills to help students understand lessons, participate in activities, and feel supported.
- Team Player: Work hand-in-hand with teachers to create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
- Student Champion: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, assisting them with academic tasks and daily activities.
Requirements
- ASL Proficiency: Must be fluent in American Sign Language (we want to see those signing skills!).
- Experience: Previous experience working with children or in education is a plus, but if you’ve got the heart, we’ll teach you the rest.
- Availability: You’ll need to be available for 30 hours a week through the end of the school year.
