Job Title: Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Location: Lake Villa, IL

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work full-time in a supportive school district in Lake Villa, IL. Position Highlights:

• Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: End of the school year, with potential for renewal.
• Location: Onsite in Lake Villa, IL.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to implement therapy plans tailored to students’ needs.
• Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence.
• Conduct one-on-one and group therapy sessions aligned with students’ IEP goals.
• Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to incorporate therapy techniques into students’ daily routines.
• Document student progress and prepare updates for IEP meetings.
• Assist in revising therapy plans based on student needs and progress, under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
• Ensure compliance with school policies and state regulations for therapy services.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current certification and licensure as a COTA in Illinois.
• Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and adapt to the school environment.
