Procare Therapy is working with a school in Hillsboro, OR who is interested in hiring a speech language pathologist to work for the 2023 school year.

Position Available: (In person) Autism Consultant/Autism Specialist - Will interview and offer ASAP!
Disciplines considered for this position:
- Special Ed Teacher with experience in ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
- SLP with experience in ASD
- BCBA with Special Ed Teaching background
Assignment Period: for the remainder of the school year.
Hours: This can be as small as .6 FTE and all the way up to 1.0 FTE,
Caseload/Population: ASD - Autism Spectrum Disorder (Moderate to Severe)
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate is someone who has been a licensed special education teacher for at least three years and has worked with students with ASD who experience different levels of impact.
- Experience in ABA, inclusion, evidence-based practices for students with ASD, IEP development, and consultation are key.
- In addition, the person must have a clear driving record and a car to get around.
Details:
- Itinerant and drive between Washington and Columbia Counties serving several small school districts. Candidate will need to like to drive because there will be a lot of time on the road and the ESD WILL PAY FOR MILEAGE and TRAVEL TIME IS BILLABLE!
Travel Route - The districts will include: Gaston (.11), Vernonia (.16), Banks (.14), Rainier (.12) , Washington County Early Childhood (.05), and maybe Clatskanie (.21). Drive time is built into the FTE knowing that there is a lot of time on the road.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Hearing ability sufficient to evaluate student's speech.
- Skill communicating verbally and in writing with students, faculty members, and parents so that all parties understand the program and the degree of progress being made.
Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in speech pathology required.
- State license as a speech pathologist required.
- A minimum of two years of experience working in the speech pathology field preferred.
