Position Overview:

  • Job Title: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Location: Gilroy, CA
  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite
  • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, following the school district’s academic calendar
  • Caseload Details: To be discussed during the interview based on your experience and preferences

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and design effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to meet individual student needs.
  • Implement data-driven strategies to support students with autism and other developmental disabilities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school staff to create a comprehensive and supportive educational environment.
  • Provide professional development and training sessions to staff on best practices for behavior management and ABA techniques.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, making necessary adjustments to intervention strategies based on data and observations.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to ensure consistency and effectiveness of behavior plans across all settings.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, goals, and progress for reporting and compliance purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or a related field.
  • Current and active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with creating and implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
