Position Overview:
This BCBA position focuses on creating and guiding behavior intervention strategies that promote student achievement and social development. You’ll collaborate closely with school staff to implement positive behavioral changes across the district.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct FBAs: Perform Functional Behavioral Assessments to understand students' behavioral needs.
- Plan Development: Develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
- Data Collection: Gather and analyze intervention data, making necessary adjustments to ensure success.
- Staff Support: Partner with teachers and counselors to support behavior plan implementation.
- Training for Educators: Provide professional development on ABA principles and effective behavior management.
- Family Communication: Work with parents to keep them informed and engaged in their child’s progress.
Qualifications:
- BCBA Certification: Required for this role.
- Experience: Prior experience with children or in schools is preferred.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills to work with students, staff, and families effectively.
