Part-Time Remote Special Education Case Manager (Virginia)
Location: Remote (supporting preschools across Virginia)
Position Type: Part-Time (20 hours/week)

Position Overview & Responsibilities
We are seeking a licensed Special Education Case Manager to provide remote support to special education teams at 2-3 preschools in Virginia. This part-time role, requiring 20 hours per week, will focus on managing special education cases, writing and maintaining IEPs, monitoring student progress, and handling related administrative duties. There are no direct student services involved. You'll collaborate with onsite SPED teachers to ensure compliance and support individualized student needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage Caseloads: Oversee and maintain special education cases, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and timelines.
  • IEP Development: Prepare and update individualized education programs (IEPs) in cooperation with teachers and parents.
  • Progress Reports: Track student performance and generate progress reports to aid in decision-making.
  • Remote Collaboration: Provide virtual administrative and advisory support to preschool SPED teachers.

Requirements

  • Valid Virginia License: Must be a licensed Special Education Teacher in the state of Virginia.
  • ECSE Endorsement: An Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) endorsement is mandatory to work with preschool-aged children.
  • Experience: Previous experience in case management, IEP creation, and working with early childhood special education is highly desired.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a virtual setting.
