ProCare Therapy is excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for this school year. Located near the community of Bristol, Rhode Island, this position is within a highly supportive school district known for its collaborative environment and amazing staff and students. Your Role & Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance both verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- Develop cognitive communication skills, focusing on memory, attention, and problem-solving.
- Assist students with swallowing challenges.
- Provide non-verbal students with alternative communication tools, such as communication boards or speech-generating devices.
- Tackle voice-related issues like pitch, volume, and quality.
- Empower students to express themselves clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Diagnose and address a variety of speech disorders, including sound production, fluency, and voice issues.
Qualifications We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree in Speech and Communication Disorders.
- Previous experience working with children in school or educational settings is preferred.
- Possession of a valid RI SLP license (Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply!).
Compensation & Benefits:
- $45 - $55/hr, based on experience.
- Guaranteed Hours: 35-40 hours per week.
