Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher – Nashville, TN

Location: Nashville, TN
Position: Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hours per week)
Start Date: ASAP
Caseload: Elementary and Middle School students

Job Overview:

ProCare Therapy is actively seeking a certified DHH Teacher to join a school district in Nashville, TN. This position involves providing specialized instruction for students with hearing impairments, collaborating with a team of educators, and developing effective communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IEPs for students with hearing impairments
  • Utilize assistive technology and sign language to support student learning
  • Collaborate with speech therapists, special education teams, and general educators
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group instruction based on individual needs

Qualifications:

  • Tennessee DHH Certification required
  • Experience in a school setting preferred
  • Proficiency in ASL and/or other communication methods is a plus
  • Strong collaboration and organizational skills
