School Based Deaf Hard of Hearing Teacher Job
ProCare Therapy has partnered with a school district in Santa Barbara, CA to hire a full time Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHHT). This position will begin as soon as possible and will continue for the entire 2018-2019 school year. This DHHT may have the option to become a permanent district employee at the end of the assignment.
To qualify for this full-time opening, applicants must have a Master’s Degree in Deaf Education. Additionally, candidates must hold (or be eligible to immediately obtain) a valid California Hard of Hearing or Communication Handicapped credential by the CTC. Applicants should have had a successful teaching experience (or student teaching experience) working with in an educational program for pupils with hearing impairment. This DHHT should have knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL), deaf culture, and hearing loss.
This position is open to local candidates as well as out-of-state Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher who are interested in relocating to Santa Barbara, CA. For traveling candidates, ProCare Therapy can provide a housing stipend, relocation reimbursement, and can assist you as your obtain state certification in deaf education.  
Salary will be based on experience.
