DHH Teacher – Join Our Team in Anchorage, AK!
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate DHH Teacher for an itinerant role in Anchorage, AK. In this position, you’ll work with students from PreK-21 years old, including those who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, providing specialized academic instruction and support.
Position Details:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
- Mix of high and low-functioning students.
- Includes consulting, coaching, and collaboration with SPED Teachers and SLPs.
- Occasional travel required for coaching and team meetings (flight and travel expenses covered by the district).
- Travel arrangements provided, including flights, local transportation, and hotel accommodations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid DHH teaching credential.
- Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency in Total Communication, listening, spoken language, and American Sign Language (ASL).
