Contract Behavior Therapist
ProCare Therapy is working with a school district in Berlin, NH that is looking to hire a Behavior Therapist for the 2024-2025 school year with the opportunity for renewal for the following school year.

The behavior therapist will work under the supervision of a certified Special Education Teacher to implement individualized education plans. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children with special needs, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

The selected candidate will be hired on as a full time contracted employee through ProCare Therapy. A full school year contract will be awarded for you to complete. Schedule:

  • Full-time: 30 - 35 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday
  • K-12th grade
  • 2 school sites
  • Providing academic and behavior support
  • Assisting lead teacher with academic instruction and additional classroom support
  • Caseload will be assigned based on preference, experience and availability

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of IEPs and behavior intervention plans.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to students in various settings (classroom, playground, etc.).
  • Collect and record data on student progress and behavior.
  • Support students in developing social, communication, and adaptive skills.
  • Assist with classroom management and organization.
  • Collaborate with teachers, BCBAs, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student education and behavior management.
  • Attend and participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Behavior Technician certification 
  • Associates or bachelors degree in related field preferred
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check

Interview Process:

  1. 10–15 minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter
  2. 20-30 minute virtual interview directly with the school district
  3. Offer is typically extended within 24-48 hours of the virtual interview
