Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education Teacher
Location: St. Johnsbury, Vermont
Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time | Start ASAP – End of School Year
About the Role:
- Caseload: Manage a small, focused group of fewer than 10 students (ages 3–5), with potential for slight growth in January as more children transition into the program.
- Schedule Options:
- Part-Time: 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM
- Full-Time: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (ideal for those eager to engage both in the classroom and with paperwork management).
- Start Date: Immediate
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Targeted Instruction: Plan and implement engaging lessons tailored to meet each student’s developmental needs and goals.
- Support Developmental Milestones: Address cognitive, social, and emotional growth through creative, evidence-based teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with Families and Teams: Partner with parents and multidisciplinary teams to create effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and support seamless transitions into early learning settings.
- Adaptable Approach: Be flexible in providing hands-on classroom support or assisting virtually, depending on the needs of students and the team.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education or related field.
- Licensure: Valid Vermont teaching certification in Early Childhood Special Education (or ability to obtain).
- Experience: Previous experience working with early intervention programs preferred.
- Skills: Exceptional collaboration, communication, and adaptability in addressing diverse learning needs.
