Position Details:
- Title: School Paraprofessional/RBT
- Location: Arroyo Grande, CA
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract
- Start Date: Immediate
- Caseload: Full school year
Requirements:
- Completed RBT course (certification not required)
- Scheduling interviews ASAP (details to be discussed during the interview)
- Preferred: Recent school experience and relevant clearances

Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in life skills classrooms, both individually and in groups.
- Assist with the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and instructional activities as directed by the special education teacher.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Aid students with daily tasks, including personal care, communication, and mobility.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of student performance and behavior.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s degree or higher in a relevant field is a plus.
- Experience working with special needs students, preferably in a school environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting students' academic and social development.
- Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
- Willingness to complete a background check and meet any additional school or district requirements.
