Full Time Contract Resource Special Education Teacher

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Resource Special Education Teacher to join our team in Empire, MN. As a full-time contract employee, you will be responsible for providing individualized instruction and support to students with special needs, including those with learning disabilities, behavioral issues, and other challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student
• Provide direct instruction and support to students with special needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers and other support staff to ensure that students receive appropriate accommodations and modifications in the classroom
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid Minnesota teaching license with Special Education endorsement
• Experience working with students with special needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
