ProCare Therapy is a premier provider of educational staffing services focused on student success. We are seeking a passionate and highly qualified School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) for an amazing school district in West Columbia, SC.
Position Overview: As a School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) with ProCare Therapy, you will provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to students. You will work closely with students, teachers, parents, and other OT's, PT's, SLP's, and other school staff to develop and implement individualized therapy plans that support students' educational goals and promote their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students' functional needs related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom environment.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on students' goals and progress.
- Educate and support school staff and parents on techniques to support students' occupational therapy needs.
Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of SC.
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations is preferred.
- Strong assessment, communication (verbal & written), and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
