Job Description
Position Overview:
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will work directly with students, under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), to implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and provide support in the classroom and school environment. You will play an essential role in helping students develop important social, communication, and academic skills, as well as manage challenging behaviors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) as designed by the supervising BCBA.
- Provide 1:1 and small group instruction to students, focusing on skill development, social interactions, and behavior management.
- Track and document student progress in behavior and academic goals, making adjustments as needed.
- Provide positive reinforcement and behavior redirection strategies to support students' behavioral growth.
- Work closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other school professionals to promote individualized student success.
- Participate in team meetings to review student progress, discuss strategies, and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of student behavior, progress, and interventions.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (required).
