Job Opportunity: Full-Time School Psychologist - 2023/2024 School Year

Location: Concord, CA

Position: School Psychologist

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to join our team for the upcoming 2023/2024 school year. As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students in grades 9-12 and a small population of 18-22-year-olds. This is a full-time position with 8-hour workdays, starting from August 7, 2023, to June 3, 2024. You can expect approximately 50-60 assessments per year and involvement in around 200 IEP meetings. Job Details:

  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Workdays: 8 hours per day
  • Start Date: August 7, 2023
  • End Date: June 3, 2024
  • Grade Levels: Grades 9-12 and a small population of 18-22 (6 students)
  • Approximate Assessments: 50-60 per year
  • Approximate IEPs: 200 total

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students' educational and psychological needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and colleagues to develop effective interventions and support plans
  • Attend and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
  • Provide counseling and support services to students
  • Address emergency situations and provide crisis intervention as needed

Requirements:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Previous experience working with high school students and young adults preferred
  • Strong assessment and collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
