Position: School Psychologist
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to join our team for the upcoming 2023/2024 school year. As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students in grades 9-12 and a small population of 18-22-year-olds. This is a full-time position with 8-hour workdays, starting from August 7, 2023, to June 3, 2024. You can expect approximately 50-60 assessments per year and involvement in around 200 IEP meetings. - Grade Levels: Grades 9-12 and a small population of 18-22 (6 students)
- Approximate Assessments: 50-60 per year
- Approximate IEPs: 200 total
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students' educational and psychological needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and colleagues to develop effective interventions and support plans
- Attend and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
- Provide counseling and support services to students
- Address emergency situations and provide crisis intervention as needed
Requirements:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience working with high school students and young adults preferred
- Strong assessment and collaboration skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
