Job Title: School Psychologist (4 Days per Week)
Location: Rochester, WA
Duration: 2023-2024 School Year

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational team in Rochester, WA. As a School Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of our students. This is a part-time position, offering 4 days per week during the 2023-2024 school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' strengths, weaknesses, and areas of concern.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Provide counseling and intervention services to students struggling with behavioral, emotional, or social challenges.
  • Support teachers and staff in creating positive learning environments that foster students' mental well-being.
  • Assist in crisis intervention and management, including assessing risk factors and coordinating appropriate support services.
  • Collaborate with community resources to ensure students have access to necessary external support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and progress reports.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, providing valuable insights and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field.
  • Valid and current certification as a School Psychologist.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting is strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of assessment techniques, intervention strategies, and special education processes.
  • Strong understanding of educational laws and regulations related to students with special needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
