Job Description:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a full-time position in Genoa, IL. This teacher will work in a self-contained classroom serving students in grades K-12, and will have the support of assistants and paraprofessionals. The role involves providing specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of each student, helping them to achieve academic, social, and emotional success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students
• Provide direct instruction in a self-contained classroom setting
• Manage the classroom environment and maintain a positive learning atmosphere
• Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and parents to support students' progress
• Supervise and collaborate with assistants and paraprofessionals to ensure effective student support
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning for students

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or a related field
• State Certification as a Special Education Teacher (Required)
• Experience in a K-12 self-contained classroom preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
