Full-Time | Special Education Teacher (SPED) Job Opportunity | 22/23 SY | Queens, NY


ProCare Therapy has a contract Special Education Teaching opening for an excellent school district in the Queens, New York area. If we find the right candidate to fill the position, there is an opportunity of renewing for the next school year. New grads are encouraged to apply.


Responsibilities: (Middle School Aged Students) 

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other support staff to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, and modify instruction as needed
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of student progress and attendance
  • Participate in departmental meetings, in-service training, and staff development opportunities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education
  • New York state certification as a special education teacher
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
