Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2023/24 school year in Kansas City, KS. Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students from early childhood to middle school.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to individual students' needs.
  • Conduct therapy sessions to improve students' speech and language skills, including articulation, fluency, voice, and expressive/receptive language.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide a comprehensive approach to student support.
  • Monitor and track students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on students' goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers and parents on strategies to facilitate speech and language development in the classroom and at home.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Kansas state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based assessment and intervention techniques for speech and language disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload.
