Job Title: Autism Teacher

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Autism Teacher to support a caseload of 10-12 high school students with autism in Boulder, CO. This is a full-time, onsite position that requires a passionate educator ready to make a difference in the lives of students with special needs. The teacher will have direct support from a team that includes 2 paraprofessionals, a BCBA, Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), Psychologist, Occupational Therapist (OT), and Physical Therapist (PT) in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with autism, adapting curriculum as needed to meet the learning styles and abilities of each student.
- Provide direct instruction in both academic and social skills areas.
- Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals and a multidisciplinary team to support the academic, behavioral, and therapeutic needs of students.
- Create a structured, supportive classroom environment that fosters engagement and learning.
- Use data-driven approaches to monitor student progress and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Engage in regular communication with families and the educational team regarding student progress and development.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching License in the state of Colorado.
- Experience working with high school students with autism.
- Strong understanding of ABA principles and behavior management strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and the support team.
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs.
Hourly Pay Rate:
$35 - $45 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
