Your Duties:

• Provide interpreting for meetings, conferences, and appointments.
• Accurately translate spoken language to ASL and vice versa while maintaining confidentiality.
• Adapt your interpreting style to meet the communication needs of Deaf individuals.
• Be aware of cultural nuances that may affect communication.
• Collaborate with staff for effective communication facilitation.

What You Need:

• Proficiency in both ASL and English.
• Graduation from an accredited interpreter training program or similar experience.
• Preferred national or state certification (RID, BEI).
• Strong interpersonal and cultural awareness skills.
• Professionalism and a commitment to confidentiality.
• EIPA score of 3.8 or above.

Contract Position Details: This is a contracted role through VocoVision and ProCare Therapy as a 1099 Independent Contractor:

• No benefits offered.
• You are responsible for obtaining your own Liability Insurance.
• Completion of a Technology Test is necessary to ensure you are tech-ready.
