Your Responsibilities:
- Offer interpreting services for various meetings and appointments.
- Convert spoken language to ASL and vice versa, ensuring precision and confidentiality.
- Adjust your interpretation methods to align with Deaf individuals’ communication styles.
- Acknowledge cultural nuances impacting communication.
- Collaborate with staff to enhance communication effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Strong ASL and English proficiency.
- Graduation from an accredited interpreter training program or equivalent experience.
- Preferred certification from a national or state board (RID, BEI).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with cultural awareness.
- A strong commitment to professionalism and confidentiality.
- EIPA score of 3.8 or higher.
Important Information: This position is a contracted role through VocoVision and ProCare Therapy, classified as a 1099 Independent Contractor Position:
- No benefits available.
- Liability Insurance must be obtained independently.
- Completion of our Technology Test is required for tech readiness.
