Your Role:

• Provide interpreting services for meetings and appointments.
• Translate spoken language to ASL and vice versa, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
• Tailor your interpretation to meet the needs of Deaf individuals.
• Be aware of cultural nuances that may affect communication.
• Work with staff to enhance communication effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in ASL and English.
• Completion of an accredited interpreter training program or equivalent experience.
• Preferred certification from a national or state board (RID, BEI).
• Excellent interpersonal and cultural sensitivity skills.
• Commitment to professionalism and confidentiality.
• EIPA score of 3.8 or higher.

Contract Details: This position is contracted through VocoVision and ProCare Therapy as a 1099 Independent Contractor Position:

• No benefits provided.
• You must obtain your own Liability Insurance.
• A Technology Test is required to ensure you are qualified for the role.
