Paraprofessional
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to support K-5 students in Penacook, NH. The Paraprofessional will assist teachers in the classroom, provide one-on-one or small-group support, and help create an inclusive and positive learning environment. This role is essential in supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of students with diverse needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher with instructional and behavioral support for students.
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce lessons and provide individualized attention.
- Support students with special needs, including those with IEPs or 504 Plans, in meeting their academic goals.
- Monitor student behavior and assist in implementing behavior management strategies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Provide assistance during classroom activities, transitions, and other school-related events.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with teachers and staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- New Hampshire Paraprofessional license preferred
- Experience working with children or in a school setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
