Job Title: Special Education Paraprofessional/RBT
Location: Longmont, CO
Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract

Caseload Details:

• • Role: Working with complex autism communication behaviors in a high-needs classroom (LEADS)
  • BCBA’s already onsite to support and help 
  • Details: Tech heavy district- IPAD would be provided for every para
  • Training focused- SVVSD will host training throughout the year that contractors can join for a small fee (typically $15- you can get CPI training and help with various training behaviors.)
  • Schedule: M-F, 8:45-3 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid lunch 32.5 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special needs.
• Assist with implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and assist with instructional activities under the guidance of the special education teacher.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Help students with personal care, communication, and mobility as needed.
• Work closely with teachers and staff to track student progress and adjust support strategies as required.
• Keep accurate records of student behavior and performance.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or higher in a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience working with students with special needs, ideally in an educational setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support students’ academic and social development.
• Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and meet other school district requirements.
