ProCare Therapy is excited to announce a full-time opportunity for a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to work in a school based setting. This role is perfect for a skilled interpreter who is passionate about supporting students with hearing impairments by providing essential communication services in an educational setting. This position offers competitive compensation of $35 and the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' educational experiences.
Position Details:
- Contract Type: Full-time
- Hours: 35-40 hours per week
- Caseload: K-12 students
Responsibilities:
- Provide sign language interpretation services for K-12 students during classroom instruction, school activities, and meetings.
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers to ensure full participation in educational activities.
- Accurately interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa.
- Adapt interpreting methods to meet the needs of individual students based on their IEPs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, school staff, and parents to support student success.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interpreting services.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a 3.5 EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score.
- Certification or licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter (if applicable).
- Experience working in a K-12 educational setting preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
