Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Ashburn, VA. This position will cover a period from now to the end of the school year, providing instruction and support to students in a variety of settings
As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment, and collaborating with a team of educators and professionals
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs based on individual student needs
- Deliver instruction to students, adapting teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles
- Provide individual and group support to students, offering guidance and assistance as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers and other professionals to ensure effective inclusion and support for students
- Monitor and track student progress, evaluating their performance and adjusting instructional strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and communication with parents/guardians
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education for the state of Virginia
- Previous experience working with students with special needs
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Pay Rate: The pay for this position is competitive, ranging between $33 and $38 per hour, based on qualifications and experience
