Your Responsibilities:

• Provide interpreting services for meetings, conferences, and appointments.
• Translate spoken language to ASL and vice versa, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Tailor your interpretation style to suit the communication needs of Deaf individuals.
• Acknowledge and address cultural nuances in communication.
• Work alongside staff to enhance effective communication.

Requirements:

• Proficient in both ASL and English.
• Graduate from an accredited interpreter training program or possess equivalent experience.
• National or state board certification (RID, BEI) is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
• Commitment to professionalism and confidentiality.
• EIPA score of 3.8 or higher.

Note: This role is contracted through VocoVision and ProCare Therapy, classified as a 1099 Independent Contractor Position, meaning:

• No benefits provided.
• You must obtain your own Liability Insurance.
• Completion of our Technology Test is required to ensure you’re technologically equipped for the role.
