Job Description
This BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) job opportunity at ProCare Therapy offers a fulfilling full-time role for the 2024/2025 school year, where you can make a significant impact on students with behavioral challenges.
Position Overview:
As a BCBA, you’ll work Monday through Friday, dedicating 32-37 hours per week to directly supporting students in a school setting. This role is centered around helping students with behavioral difficulties achieve their academic and social goals by developing and implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs). You'll play a key part in fostering positive changes in student behavior, making this a rewarding position for those passionate about working with children.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Behavior Assessment & Plan Development:
- You’ll assess individual student needs, analyzing their behavior and identifying challenges. Based on these assessments, you’ll develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to each student's unique circumstances.
- These plans will include strategies that help students overcome obstacles, improve their behavior, and thrive academically and socially.
-
Direct Student Support:
- As a BCBA, you’ll work one-on-one with students, providing direct interventions that address specific behavioral issues. This hands-on approach allows you to monitor and adjust techniques in real-time, ensuring the students stay on track.
-
Staff Training & Collaboration:
- You won’t just work with students; you’ll be an essential resource for the entire school community. You’ll train and guide teachers, counselors, and other staff on how to implement behavior plans effectively.
- Collaboration is a huge part of this role, as you’ll regularly communicate with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure students receive comprehensive support from all sides.
-
Monitoring & Adjusting Plans:
- You’ll continuously track the progress of your behavior plans, assessing whether students are meeting their goals. When necessary, you’ll tweak plans to ensure students are always moving toward positive outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Certification: You must have a valid BCBA certification to be eligible for this position.
- Experience: While experience working in a school is a plus, it’s not mandatory. What's most important is your ability to create behavior plans, communicate clearly with staff, and be passionate about helping students.
Benefits Package:
- Competitive Pay: The starting rate is $45+ per hour, with final pay based on your experience.
- Weekly Pay: Get paid every Friday, so you always have consistent income.
- Health Benefits: You’ll receive full coverage for medical, dental, and vision, ensuring your health is taken care of while you focus on helping students.
- 401(k) Matching: Plan for your future with our 401(k) matching program. We want to ensure that while you're shaping the future for students, you're also securing your own.
Why This Role Matters:
As a BCBA, your role is vital in the educational system. You’ll be helping students who struggle with behavioral issues by providing them the tools and strategies to succeed not just in school, but in life. You’ll be guiding teachers and staff to create a positive and supportive environment where students can thrive.
