Job Description:
As a Travel School Psychologist, you will collaborate with school staff, students, and families to promote a healthy learning environment and support students' emotional, behavioral, and academic success. You will conduct psychological assessments, provide counseling, and work with teams to develop interventions and strategies that help students thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning of students.
- Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support students with special needs.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing emotional, social, and behavioral issues.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and other school staff to create a supportive learning environment.
- Provide crisis intervention and support for students experiencing acute emotional or behavioral difficulties.
- Consult with educators and families on effective strategies for classroom management and student support.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided.
- Stay current on research and best practices in school psychology and related fields.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in School Psychology.
- Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) certification preferred.
- Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment, intervention techniques, and behavioral support.
- Ability to travel and work in various school settings.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
