Virtual Teacher for the Visually Impaired Position

Job Duties:
- Provide virtual instruction to visually impaired students in a variety of subjects and skills, including braille, assistive technology, and orientation and mobility.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address each student's unique learning needs and goals.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure students have access to necessary accommodations and support.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress and adjust instruction and support as needed.
- Provide guidance and support to families to help them navigate the educational system and access resources and services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education, special education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Valid California certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired.
- Experience working with visually impaired students and knowledge of braille and assistive technology.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues in a virtual setting.
- Ability to provide engaging and effective virtual instruction using various platforms and tools.
