Job Description

Position Summary: We are hiring a dedicated DHH (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year in Athens, AL. This role is perfect for a compassionate educator who thrives in helping students with learning disabilities and other special needs in an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.

Position Details:

  • Full-Time, Onsite Only (No Virtual Options)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide core subject instruction using evidence-based methods, including phonics, repetition, and multisensory learning.
  • Collaborate with the school community to ensure students’ needs are met.
  • Maintain student records for compliance with state and federal standards.
  • Administer assessments to monitor progress and identify challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid state DHH certification.
  • Previous school experience is a plus but not required.
