Contract School Psychologist – Elementary (Maternity Leave)

Location: Orinda, CA

Position Type: Contract (In-Person Only)

Duration: Mid-March 2025 - End of School Year (EOSY)

We believe in providing comprehensive support to meet the diverse needs of our learners. We are seeking a skilled School Psychologist to cover a maternity leave and join our committed team.

Job Description: We are looking for an experienced and compassionate School Psychologist to work in-person with elementary-aged students. This contract position will run from mid-March through the end of the school year, focusing on providing psychological services to a caseload of 28-30 students. Your role will be pivotal in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for elementary students.
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies to address student needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student learning and emotional well-being.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling services as needed.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
  • Serve as a resource for school staff on psychological and behavioral issues.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California School Psychologist credential.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students.
  • Strong assessment, intervention, and counseling skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
