Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate Students: Perform assessments to identify students' occupational therapy needs related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and overall functional abilities in the school setting.
- Individualized Treatment Plans: Develop and implement customized treatment programs to help students achieve their personal, educational, and developmental goals.
- Direct Therapy Services: Provide one-on-one or group therapy sessions focused on improving daily living skills, motor function, and sensory processing for students in grades K-12.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support students' progress, adapt the classroom environment, and address challenges.
- Monitor and Adjust Plans: Regularly track student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to ensure continuous development.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Oklahoma OT license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Experience in pediatric occupational therapy, especially within a school or educational setting, is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with staff and families.
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in a K-12 educational setting.
- Familiarity with sensory integration techniques and assistive technology.
