Position Summary:
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with ProCare Therapy in Palm Bay, FL, you will provide direct ABA therapy to children with autism and other developmental disabilities. You will implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), helping children acquire new skills and improve their behavior in home and community settings.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 30 lbs, and engaging in active play with children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and implement treatment plans effectively
- Ability to work in the Palm Bay, Florida area.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct ABA therapy in home and community settings.
- Implement individualized treatment plans as directed by the BCBA.
- Collect and record data accurately and consistently.
- Maintain accurate and timely session notes.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and supervisors.
- Participate in regular supervision and team meetings.
- Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
- Maintain professional boundaries.
Ideal Candidates Will Have Experience In:
- Working with children with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Implementing ABA therapy.
- Working in educational or therapeutic settings.
- Experience as a Teacher, nanny, social worker, nurse, school or camp counselor, childcare, teacher’s aide, coach, child psychologist, special education, paraprofessional, daycare teacher and other similar fields.
