Job Title: General Education Substitute Location: K-8th School, two buildings Job Type: Full-time, Temporary Pay Range: $20-$28 per hour

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a General Education Substitute to cover primarily core subjects such as ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies for K-8th grade students in our two buildings. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction, managing the classroom, and maintaining a safe and productive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction for ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies to K-8th grade students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
• Manage the classroom and maintain a safe and productive learning environment.
• Follow lesson plans left by the regular classroom teacher and modify them as needed.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure continuity of instruction and consistency in classroom management.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and communicate with the main office as needed.
• Provide feedback to the regular classroom teacher about student progress and behavior.
• Maintain professionalism and positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certificate preferred, but not required.
• Previous experience working with K-8th grade students.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and modify them as needed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20-$28 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a full-time temporary position with a 40-hour work week. Benefits are not included with this position.
