Middle School Science Teacher Job

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Middle School Science Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year (August 2023 - June 2024). The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Grades 6-8 Science, with a class size of 25-30 students. A Professional Educator License (PEL) is highly preferred, but not required. New graduates are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging and challenging lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and state standards
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of all students
• Create a safe and positive learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters academic growth
• Evaluate student progress through a variety of assessments and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning experience for all students
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Science or related field
• Illinois teaching certification or ability to obtain certification by start date
• Experience teaching Grades 6-8 Science preferred
• Strong knowledge of Science curriculum and state standards
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
