Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Warren, Michigan

Duration: Full Time; 2024-2025 School Year
Caseload: There are multiple positions open: Elementary, Middle, and High School caseloads available; Resource and Life Skills positions

Position Overview:
Are you a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher ready to make a difference? We invite you to join our dynamic team for the upcoming school year. In this role, you'll partner with educators, parents, and specialists to provide each student with the customized support and resources they need to excel both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:
- Craft and execute impactful Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
- Tailor your teaching methods to address the diverse learning styles and needs of your students.
- Use cutting-edge Evidence-Based Practices and innovative technologies to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
- Continuously assess student progress and refine teaching strategies to maximize success.
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, counselors, and specialists to support and enhance student development.
- Keep open lines of communication with parents and guardians about their child’s progress and goals.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Valid Special Education Teaching License or eligibility for certification.
- Proven experience with students who have diverse learning needs and disabilities.
- Deep understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with assistive technology and adaptive tools.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and positive behavior support strategies.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
