Job Title: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Chambersburg, PA
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2023-24 school year in Chambersburg, PA. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing speech and language services to students in grades K-12.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose communication disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders
- Provide direct therapy to students in both individual and group settings
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers, occupational therapists, and school psychologists, to provide comprehensive services to students
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and treatment plans
- Participate in meetings with parents and school staff to discuss student progress and treatment plans
- Provide training and support to teachers and other school staff on strategies to support students with communication disorders
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university
- Pennsylvania state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Prior experience working with school-aged children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals
- Knowledge of current research and best practices in speech and language therapy
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload
